Meagan and Andy's tent reception was absolutely perfect and I can't wait to blog all it's goodness. Jonathan and I had a great time photographing under the big blue sky and in the presence of such joy. I always say I am in the business of documenting love- and I do it with pure love. I just want to share how absolutely happy I am to be doing what I love to do- and to do it together with my favorite wingman on occasion makes it all the more better.
Thank you to my amazing, creative, supportive and loving husband and BFF, Jonathan. I love shooting with you!
More on Meagan and Andy's reception celebration SOON!

Ah, destination beach weddings... what is there not to like?! Beyond the unparalleled hospitality with endless choices of fine dining and drinks, combed beaches, all kinds of natural sunlight and ambiance- there is simplicity in nearness of closest family and friends, genuine laughter and an at-ease glowing bride and groom.
Meagan and Andy's perfect destination wedding was held at the luxurious Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun. They decided to see each other in a private moment together before the day's celebrations began giving us plenty of time for some relaxed portraits. Surrounded by the intimacy of close family and best friends as attendants, they were married under the setting sun. A pool-side reception followed with exquisite food and an awesome DJ where everyone danced, laughed and celebrated the marriage of Meagan and Andy.
The end of this month, Meagan and Andy will have their local tent reception at Meagan's mother's home. I can't be more excited to document and celebrate their marriage once again!

I was seriously looking forward to Chris and Christine's wedding since I met them! Photographing them for their Engagement Session really set the tone for what was to come with their wedding! Surrounded by happy bridesmaids and her mother,Christine prepared for the big day at the contemporary Renaissance Hotel downtown. The rooftop pool deck of the hotel has always been a favorite location of mine so we, of course, had to get some fun portraits of the Bride on our way out. Just a few blocks down the street at St. Joseph Cathedral, Chris patiently waited for their private moment where they would see each other for the first time. What a moment to capture! With some time before the ceremony, we were able to get some casual portraits of the two of them around the church. St. Joseph Cathedral is stunning- it is definitely an "oh and ah" kind of church! After the ceremony, Chris, Christine and their attendants were true champs- letting us take them around downtown street to get some fresh portraits. The day ended in a true party at The Columbus Athenaeum where Paradise Island Band kept the night going. OH and! evidently Christine is a pie-loving kinda girl so instead of a wedding cake, they had a pie buffet, no joke! It was amazing! I have never seen that many people wait in line for their pie!
Christine and Chris, in their ultra-creative ways created many details of their day. The programs and invitations were designed and printed by the bride and groom, all of the flowers were created by one of Christine's bridesmaids while another bridesmaid was the artist behind Christine's makeup. Each attendant chose their black suit or dress and shoes to wear and it created some awesome unique-ness. Just my style!
Chris and Christine, Jonathan and I want to sincerely thank you for inviting us to document your incredible day!

Emily and I have known each other since grade school and share a lot of really funny stories together, none which I could begin share because of their "inside joke" kind of nature! She has always cracked me up with her high energy and is always such a joyful person to be around. On her wedding day, Emily was a true Bride- beautiful as can be and literallyglowing with joy. Together, Emily and Kent are the perfect pair, constantly appreciating one another and laughing whole-heartedly. The day was complete with the funniest bridal party I have ever seen, the most loving and supportive family surrounding them and all the thoughtful details (including the family owned historical Buick).
Thank you, Emily and Kent, for sharing your love and joy with all of us on your wedding day!

This past April, Jonathan and I headed down to South Carolina for the much anticipated wedding of Marissa and Steve. With the ceremony being held in the heart of Charleston and the reception at a private beach residence on Folly Beach, we knew it was going to be perfect. Marissa and Steve truly planned the most beautiful wedding day to share with close family and friends. It was vintage, southern, bright, happy, classic and glamorous all at the same time.
We started the day at The Mills House Hotel downtown where the beautiful Marissa and her girls prepared for the big day. The room created a serene ambiance for Marissa to piece together her vintage-glam look with a birdcage veil, her mermaid gown, and those rocking pink shoes! Just outside in the courtyard of the hotel, Steve waited to see her for the first time before they married. Once they came together, it was like peace swept over them. The outside of this hotel created the backdrop for some pretty, pretty portraits of the two of them and their attendants. The ceremony was then held in the Washington Square Park. The sunlight, the sounds- everything about their ceremony was perfect. After few more portraits in the park, we headed to Folly Beach where the reception was being held. With the custom lighting designed and organized by Steve's best man, eclectic mix of food (including shrimp and grits!), the stunning cake created by one of Marissa's bridesmaids, and the exciting mix of music- this party was the best way to truly celebrate the coming together of their lives. What a day! Seriously, what a day!
Attendants and many close friends and family helped piece together the vision for a vintage, southern and unique day alongside the incredibly talented Marissa and Steve.
Thank you, Steve and Marissa, for allowing Jonathan and I become a part of your lives and to document your most beautiful wedding!

Shannon and Johnny live in Chicago, so the last time I saw them was actually at their engagement session and I was so excited for their wedding day to come! I have known Shannon's family for years and was so honored to be able to photograph this huge day in their lives!
Shannon looked like a true classic beauty and was styled in perfection in her perfectly-silhouetted gown and real vintage jewelry. Melissa Roshan {Makeup By MelissaRoshan} did a stunning job on her makeup and Shannon's sister-in-law and bridesmaid, Shawnte, mastered her hair design. Every detail of the day was so well though out and so them.
A special thank you to my friend and fellow photographer, Amy Winter, for tag teaming their wedding with me!
Congratulations Shannon and Johnny! I can't wait to see you both again soon!
