With a peaceful setting, unique detail and a whole lot of loving, Karla and Mike's Cincinnati Nature Center wedding at the Krippendorf Lodge was simply magical. With a designer's sensibility, they created the day with the perfect marriage of natural and modern.
At Cincinnati's beautiful downtown hotel, The Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, Karla had an amazing team of stylists, including makeup artists Cass Brake, to prepare her for the big day. Throughout the day, I noticed what a talented and loving group of people Karla and Mike surround themselves with.
Her mother's heirloom bracelet, sparkling details and gold sequin Kate Spade shoes were the perfect pairing for her ivory chiffon gown from J Crew.
Their first look brought some of the best reactions I've ever documented. It's always such a sweet and meaningful moment...
I loved Mike's Ermenegildo Zegna suit in dark gray. Such a classic, tailored look.
Karla's vision for dusty pastel succulents paired light summer florals was realized by the fabulous Courtenay Lambert Florals of Cincinnati.
All of the details and handmade accents were designed by the talented bride. Karla's profession and talent as a graphic designer is something I've come to know very well in recent months (but more on that coming soon!). She designed all of the paper material for the wedding, bringing life to her love of combining nostalgia and modernity in typography.
Karla's aunt Harriet created the beautiful centerpieces and decor with various vintage-inspired vases and florals.
Loved this little guy.
As the sun set over the lodge, meaningful toasts and first dances set the tone for the rest of the evening of celebration.
Smiles Davis of The Flashdance came all the way from Los Angeles to spin Karla and Mike's favorites for a night guests (and myself) wouldn't forget.
Best. Party. Ever.
Congrats to my new friends, Karla and Mike!
