For as long as I can remember, I've kept a mental log of my top visual experiences in life. Ask me sometime about them.. they've helped shape my way of seeing and approach to the world.

This scene was recently added to that list.. As I woke up in a haze on the 9 hour flight from Miami to Rome, I slid open the window shade to find the sunrise and the snowy tops of the Swiss Alps.

Armed with endless hours of music, snacks and a stack of fashion and style magazines, Jonathan and I took a break from life on Miami Beach to spend this past weekend in North Carolina with my family! I have a special love for the south. As a family, we grew up taking trips there nearly every Spring and Summer. There's something about those roadside diners, quirky signage, sweet warm air and of course the food!
