Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 1:33AM On a weeklong getaway to the beaches of Hawaii, my lovely and talented dear friend Nicole (of Nicole Dixon Photographic) married her love, Trent. Just shortly before their retreat, while in Ohio, I was able to capture some joyful engagement portraits. These two know how to laugh and smile together and for me, they were a blessing to document.

Favorite shot from the session:

Congratulations, Nicole and Trent! Welcome to the world of married bliss!

Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 8:06PM One of my favorite times of year is early Autumn in the midwest. Crisp, multicolored leaves begin appearing on the ground and the air regains its earthy fragrance. The Holman Family session, held at the Inniswood Metro Gardens in central Ohio, fell just at the right time. A beautiful location, perfect weather and a happy family made for a pretty awesome combination.

The interactions are what make the following two my favorite images from the session.

Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 9:53PM Over a year ago, when my sister, Jessica, and her husband gave birth to their first child, there was no way to imagine how fast the time would pass by. It's been incredible to see this precious baby grow. I am so thankful I have been able to capture her many stages along the way! As blog followers, you watched her grow through her many sessions. From her newborn session- fresh home from the hospital, to her 3 Month session where we got to see her big beatufiul eyes and first glimpse of her smile, then at 5 Months when she spent the afternoon on the beach with her parents, and at 8 Months in the comfort of my parents backyard. Now, I am thrilled to share Deviney Jane, at 1 YEARS OLD!
This little lady, overflowing with personality, blesses those who have the pleasure to be around her with her curiosity, contagious laughter and sweet spirit. It's no wonder, I mean, have you met her parents?!

The second part of Deviney's 1 Year session was held in our parents backyard. The following image happens to be my favorite shot, because in it, Deviney looks exactly like Jessica when she was a toddler.

My mom finds the coolest things, one of her more recent finds was this incredible carousel horse. It was the perfect addition to the backyard setting. We actually plan on using it on each year's birthday to see how she grows!

My mom stood alongside Jessica, keeping Deviney smiling and laughing in front of the camera. Grandma's always know what's right, don't they? When Deviney started getting restless, she sat her down in the grass on her lap and read a book to her.
