I spent two inspired days in LA shooting behind-the-scenes on the creative video shoot for the first release of Dominican singer-songwriter, Eliacim. A full feature of on-location shots and more portraits soon, but for now, here are a few of my favorites..

On a beautiful Saturday, I took the train with these two into LA's downtown. Starting in Little Toyko and accidently ending up on Skidrow we found some amazing urban textures and wall scapes. Watch for a full feature from their portrait shoot but for now, enjoy this preview!

Weekly Series | PERSONAL WORK

Nearly every place I go I have my phone in-hand, capturing snippets of experience, location and detail. What once started out as a year-long project in 2010 to document my new life living on Miami Beach (and what culimated in the release of POLAROID OF THE DAY | The Book), has now become a familiar practice of documenting my life in various simple images, everyday. Starting this week, I'll be posting a series of iPhone Polaroids I'd collected from my experiences the previous week. And what better way to start off this new weekly series than with a double feature? 

With the company of a bright sky, warm air and the familiar faces of close friends, we spent this past week Los Angeles, California.

This added special Polaroid Series features my visit to LA's Museum of Contemporary Art with my dear friends Matt and Katie Denis of Driftwood Visual for the featured exhibition, SUPRASENSORIAL: EXPERIMENTS IN LIGHT, COLOR, AND SPACE. As we so intensely explored the space, Matt documented the experience in film (also all created from his iPhone) for Part I of their "Home Movie" project. Check out his beautiful, poetic film here.
