Yesterday I drove down the causeway from the beach to the mainland with my camera gear and iced coffee, the windows open and a strong sense that the day was going to bring blessings and beautiful moments. I arrived to Vizcaya to met- for the first time in person- Chelsea and Jeff for their engagement shoot.

That sense that I began my day with spot on- their shoot was nothing short of amazing with perfect weather, golden sunlight, their sweet personalities and the serene setting. Moving out of our old place at 1600 Meridian Ave this past week brought along that mixed bag of emotions from excitement to nostalgia. That cozy little house full of quarks and character brought us through a pretty amazing first year and a half here on the beach. Once we emptied out our possessions and packaged up happy memories, I walked through photographing the same details I snapped the first day we went to visit it. Funny how time passes, right?

Here we are, a week later and very happily nestled into our new sanctuary. Once we've filled it in and made it all our own, I will be posting images to share!

Armed with endless hours of music, snacks and a stack of fashion and style magazines, Jonathan and I took a break from life on Miami Beach to spend this past weekend in North Carolina with my family! I have a special love for the south. As a family, we grew up taking trips there nearly every Spring and Summer. There's something about those roadside diners, quirky signage, sweet warm air and of course the food!
